Our History
A Journey Through Time
Step back in time and discover the story of the Murko family, who lived in the House from 1795 to 2004. Today, the house is a “living museum”, where more than 100 historical photographs and original artifacts reveal what life was like for Styrian vineyard workers in the past.

An Authentic Countryside Experience
Mestni Vrh is a true paradise for nature lovers. Discover the Mestni Vrh trail, stroll through vineyards, and enjoy the breathtaking views of Ptuj and the surrounding hills.
On the grounds of Herberstein House, you will find chickens, ducks, mini sheep, goats, and cats roaming freely. Both children and adults will be delighted by the close interaction with these friendly and curious animals.
If you love hiking or cycling, Herberstein House is the perfect starting point for exploring nature and discovering scenic routes from Slovenske gorice, across Dravsko polje, and all the way to Haloze.
